Perhaps we should consider viewing the entire clip in its entirety. It seems rather misleading to draw conclusions based on only a partial view, especially when it comes to assessing the outcome of an interaction. It might be beneficial to hear Kirk's perspective as well. I am not certain that the assertion of Kirk being defeated will hold up after a comprehensive review.
It is completely okay to have very conservative, traditional values and believe in that kind of lifestyle. It's completely okay to talk about why you like it and why people benefit from it. It is not okay to then force that belief and way of living on everyone else, and use your religion as a weapon against those that don't fall within the constructs it defines. No one should be murdered for what they believe in. The same as no one should be pushed to the edge by being shamed for being who they are. Only unconditional love breeds love. Hate breeds this. Prayers to his family during this incredibly difficult time.
