I've packaged meat in grocery store, there is NO GASES...That meat in vacuum packed bag is that. The store package is that, store prepared cut, and package for its customers, no gas...hahaha

Always buy your meat in a tight Cryovac bag. It is 10 times better than what you buy with the open package. There’s air getting in the open package can sour and rotten meat. But remember if you get a private tight package, make sure it’s tight and not loose. If it’s loose that means air is getting inside there. I worked in Peck and house for many many years and I learned a lot.
