This is BS , you can hear the butane when you press down only, but one thing you can do to make lighters easier is take off the center metal thing where you swipe to ignite it. That thing is a safety feature and they swipe soo much easier without it. I was a smoker for 10 years and I quit 12-13 ish years ago so I don't really use them anymore for anything except lighting a burn pit which is done with a torch
