That is in fact attempted murder of a law enforcement officer plus assault with a deadly weapon on a Law enforcement officer. K-9 Police Dogs are by every definition of the law, a sworn law enforcement officer. The K-9 handler had every reason to use deadly force to neutralize the threat.

idk if it was mentioned, but for those who actually care, Rico made a full recovery and was back to taking down baddies after a two week recovery.
