John Fogerty is a national treasure, a living legend!!
I remember right after the first album came out in ‘68, Creedence did an impromptu free concert on the beach at Waddell Creek, on the San Mateo-Santa Cruz County line. It was not advertised other than a mention by some Bay Area DJ on short notice. Imagine being on the beach on a sunny summer day with lazy Pacific waves rolling in, a flatbed truck and generator for a stage and electricity, and John and CCR hitting that mesmerizing intro to Suzie Q, maybe 800 of us on the beach listening to the birth of such a great musical legacy. Sometimes the real magic happens out of the blue. Good times.

CCR is my favorite band of all time. I graduated in 1996 and grew up with some of the best rock of all time being made. But CCR is still the best and Fogerty's voice and lyrics along with that southern rock sound.... just unbeatable!🙏
