what if you're white or any other races but STILL born and raised in the hood??
They can keep that crap
I agree to this but certain type of hip Hop can be for all genres look at the Beastie boys just because they are Irish they can't listen to hip Hop where they grew up in the hood there's no difference from their hood and any other Hood in New York City at all but being from the hood is I am going through poverty having this ups and downs living with your water off living with no gas in the winter time and not going to another family members house getting your clothes from the Goodwill nah I wouldn't glamorize that but I respect it the same reason that I only own two pairs of Jordans in my whole life and I'm 47 and I don't buy them for my kids
when rap was created it was about block parties amd also messages from the hood people of struggle and it wasn't only black people puerto ricans played a part of it too dj cool herc the creator and sugar hill gang did not realize how it would expand out ward around the world
It’s all love bro
I use to be that guy but I didn't talk bad about anyone. I actually hung out with black people and they showed me mad love but then I grew up and don't listen to shit that's gonna bring me back down. I listen to music to fit my lifestyle now. it actually does help with the way you move and act. some people don't really grow out of that style of life and that's for them not me. I still get love from people just like I use to. it's way different going to the hood now then it was 20 years ago. way different
