The German isn't wasting rounds... during training... let's just throw $800 down range in a minute for fun. don't need to learn how to aim or know when the target is down. just keep the rope of bullets going, don't need a resupply in combat or anything.

Proper burst is in the 8-12 rounds area, shooting 2 round blips isn’t what the weapon is designed for. It’s an anti material weapon and used for suppressive fire. If they’re looking for “accuracy” they’ll use a rifle, either carbine, marksman, or sniper. So yes, “its a machine gun”

The Germans use the MG3, which is ofc the modern variant of the famous MG42 so these solders are use to a shorter burst unlike the m2 browning which is slower
