.50 cal can penrtrate almost anything, most people don't know this is learned in the military the.50 cal can't penetrate aluminum mixed with Styrofoam because of the velocity introsect, but the 9mm will penetrate the aluminum mixed with Styrofoam because it has a lower velocity introsect, it has to do with the physics behind the velocity introsect, mass and speed-diameter
