I had a little cheweiner named Mikey. He could run like the wind. Averaged about 20 mph too. They love to run. Unfortunately the coyotes got me little guy when he went out to potty one night. Our beloved dog Maggie used to do this on our country road. One day, she decided to do ๐ it with our neighbors truck. He hit and killed her and didn't stop. The whole family witnessed it, and you can never stop seeing it . Please stop. ๐ฒ
I have a doxie named Emma. Once after she came inside after a few minutes in the backyard to potty, she was dragging her rear legs. I immediately took her to our vet where after an X-ray, she was diagnosed with IVDD. The vet said it is common with long spined dogs and can happen spontaneously as simple as stepping in a small hole or divot or just the tiniest misstep. Friends collected money and had her fitted with a K9 rear rolling cart. After nearly a year of me working with her at home with physical therapy and range of motion exercises, she eventually regained the use of her rear legs. Please be very careful with your doxie.
Today is my baby boys birthday. Eclipse is a Dachshund mix and turned 11 today. He was pure black until a few years ago when he started getting a lot of grey.

How did you even discover that he likes doing this? lol my dog broke out of our rotten fence one very rainy day. His Apple tag tracker showed me he was on the opposite side of the neighborhood, so I hopped in my car to pick him up. Took one look at him and said, nope, your wet ass is NOT getting in this car. He kept right up with me, running alongside me and passing by neighbors walking to get home, like it was a game. Made all the neighbors chuckle too, once they realized that this 80lb dog was not running at them.

I almost gave up my cat for a dachshund, but the cat was already part of the family, so the cutest little dachshund had to stay at the pet store! Thus little dog is just too cute!!! ๐ฅฐ
People are so stupid. That Dog could get run over by another Car coming from another direction. Donโt believe Owners that allow their Dogs run like this without better supervision care that much for their Pet. I let my Dog run unsupervised in my large fenced in backyard as much as she wanted to. The backyard was over 20 feet around. She would run forever and never get tired. I had to call her back inside before she wore herself out. She only had 3 legs. She was amazing. Died of Cancer at 15 years of age. Had her from 2 Months Old.

They are super quickโฃ๏ธ My friend came for a visit with her daughter and their little long-haired doxie. They all stayed overnight, so a.m. comes early, and I let their dog out. There was a hawk in the area, so I had to go get her before she was a breakfast burrito! ๐ฒ

I love Dauchunds, my favorite Doxie lived for 17 years. she loved rivers, faster the water the more she liked it. I thought she would drown but never did. they are crazy, funny dogs๐๐๐๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
