Hugs go a long way. I was waiting for my coffee at Starbucks one day, and an older gentleman walked my way to stand in line. He appeared to be down about something. I asked him if he was ok. He said he was having a tough day. I asked him if he could use a hug. He looked at me and said, “I could use a hug today.” I gave him a warm hug and sprinkled my good vibes on him. He smiled and thanked me. Such a small gesture that goes a long way.

We need moments like this more than ever before. Sometimes, I think of the craziness in this world, and it makes me cry. Then I watch videos like this, and it makes me cry tears of love. It's a bittersweet cycle.

I don't like to be touched but this was beautiful. one time, I was at Whataburger just sitting down. I just got clean off of dope. I was broke as hell. a woman was in line and she turned around and looked at me and then went forward and then turned again and gave me 10 dollars randomly. I wasn't asking for money or doing nothing. I was just chilling. she told me so.ething told her I needed it more than she did. I started crying and thanked her. I bought food and I brought it home to my daughter. crazy at a time of need is when I got it. I don't ever ask for help and someone provided it without even knowing I needed it. fed my daughter, I made sure she knew that. I'm doing great now. been clean for years. not struggling so bad anymore. she is a part of that now whether she knows it or not.

I wish people would try doing something for someone else just because, more often. It really does make you feel pretty good inside, and the person you are doing it for is blessed, not just by your act of kindness, but, by God's presence.
