why would they take those out without giving the poor kid something for pain. he looks scared to death. There is no reason for him to suffer that pain poor kid.

My daughter broke both her bones in her arm at age 7 and had 2 pins in her arm. They pulled the first pin out, she didn’t say a word, her eyes just got a little wider. The doctor was amazed, said he’d had grown men pass out, he said he was going to give her a break then he’d be back to pull out the second, when he closed the door she said “that hurt so bad” and started crying. A few minutes later the doctor came back in, and said “are you ready for the other one?” She took a deep breath and said yes. He pulled out the second, she didn’t say a word. After he was done he said are you ok? She said yes, but that really hurt. You know how they will give kids a prize, she left with all her pockets full!
oh gosh I just broke my arm in February they didn't give me a cast for a plate and 14 screws. i broke my funny bone too. It was humorous lol . seriously not really .

My daughter broke her elbow cap off and her wrist in 2 places when she was almost 6 (monkey bars) & she had to have pins & screws put in too. But what was the worst part for her, was actually cutting the cast off. The nurse used some kind of saw and even tested it on her hand to show my daughter it was just noisy not scary. After cutting for a min, my daughter started screaming & it took 3 nurses holding her down but I interrupted & said stop obviously something’s wrong. They wanted to argue so I said get the dr. Long story short, they got it off finally without the saw but turns out, that saw had been cutting into her arm. She has a little scar there to this day.

I know his fear. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and had many surgeries as a child. One extremely traumatic one was when they had wires running from my knee down to the bottom of my foot and they were held in place with a button. All I got was "Take a deep breath and hold it!" and without warning the surgeon grabbed the button with pliers and rapidly pulled the wires out. I'm 61 years old now and that happened when I was 7 years old. One of a couple horror stories of childhood trauma. Poor guy.

once had two bars in my forearm. doc used pliers to get them out. on one bar the pliers slipped off and it shot back in my arm. didn't feel good.

I had six in my elbow when I was a kid. Ended up pulling one out myself. Felt like my bones was breaking again

one heck of a laceration or operation most likely operation after injury... and yes sometimes they pull stitches and things out of people without pain relief but pain doesn't last that long but they'll probably get this little boy something for it... I had never had any broken bones until I was 68 and I hit black ice and ended up in a ditch and ended up having four broken ribs... some people probably know how bad the pain is when you have broken ribs ... can't believe me if you've never had a broken rib you don't want one !!! 😲
My daughter(6) was screaming when she saw hers. Cudos to her doc. He yanked it out so fast it flew across the room and made a big racket hitting a metal tray. She immediately started laughing.
