there's actually a study that was announced in France at the beginning of the covid epidemic, studying why the majority of covid patients in the hospital were not cigarette smokers as they had expected. they expected covid to affect nicotine smokers more heavily, they expected cigarette smokers to be the majority of the covid patients in the hospital however that was not true. they were finding that cigarette smokers were not as seriously affected affected by covid. since cigarette smoking does damage your lungs they expected cigarette smokers to be the majority of the hospital patients. so France was doing a study to figure out why. those results were never published. none of the cigarette smokers that I knew were affected by covid

Although studies have shown potential benefits of using it with Parkinson's disease or Alzheimers disease these thing need more research. In the cases where people seek nicotine as a form of relief or beneficial factor to their health problems is because the beneficial factors of using it outweigh the negative affects of using nicotine. same with most common prescriptions though as if your taking prescription medication their are always adverse side affects that sometime may include death.
