I do believe our educational system is a failure and is set up for brainwashing the weak-minded and easily led. The notion this is because of slavery though is questionable. From what I've read very few slaves and poor people were educated at all.

The Education System is only meant to form young people into subjects similar to robots. The young will be willing to follow instructions of social behavior that are easily managed. Schools keep kids off the streets. The school format is set in stone. Nothing changes or can be added. At the same time Teen Age Suicide rates are high and Mass School Shootings are also high. No one is considering the opportunity of adding instructions on Self Awareness, the advantages of Curiousity, learning Self Confidence by practicing Comparative Reasoning. Supporting a young persons perspective of their life can allow confidence to improve. If a child is bullied they aren't able to understand if they aren't aware of the power of Confidence. They are stronger if they have the power to think for themselves.

The 60s they had ROWS . A B C D F ROWS IN OUR CLASS. IT WAS DEGRADING TO CHILDREN. THE A students were treated very well as you went down in grades you became nothing. It was horrible. They didn't care if you were taken care of or had food or anything. They spanked children with wooden paddles. And you wonder why our children are so crazy in school now??????? No discipline at all.... Children fight in classrooms they fight teachers. They don't know respect if there's no respect for their parents. God says to respect your parents. God was taken out of our schools back then around 70s. Same time they started busing kids across town to strange schools. We need a better system for our children. I wouldn't have a child in public schools if I went broke taking care of them myself.
