Can anyone identify this sound? It’s not knocking. Happens mostly when revving. Sounds like popping noises in a Ford Transit with a 3.5 EcoBoost. Any ideas? 🚐💡 #CarTroubles #FordTransit #EngineSound #

Only a fool would do it that way. Do it right the 1st time so don't have to redo it a 2nd time.
That metal is to soft to hold a weight bearing screws of that size. I don’t recommend this method.
metal is way too soft for threads
bull crap! just drill it out, tap it to the next size, and put a helicoil in back to the original size
Not how you use a tap
if you don't look at it it's good
a condom could have prevented this post
won't hold water
that will not work
as you can see that's not regular molten metallic metal, the yellow urinary piss content contains asparagus fibers that will enhance the process of latent energy. thanks for your time.
blown
The proper way. 1. re-tap to the next larger size. 2. fill the cavity with a stick or mig welder and re-tap. Using lead filler is too soft, dissimilar and to be honest, epically stupid.
why did he tap it like that bro 1 time in 1 time out. wtf u on.
That’s Nice 🥰
3 times with a threader is crazy work
Lead ...How Ignorant !
if you can cut the metal with a knife, you have problems with it holding the insert in.
this is common machine shop work
questioning the strength
what no way
that lead is just going to strip out. Looks good but not a real fix.
wrong
That is not "fixed". Also, once a tap is run through, you don't run it again. Did y'all see how wobbly that bolt was as he spun it in? 🤣
if it's real then this is dumb, whatever he pours in the hole is soft, it's not gonna hold any tourqe for long
This is nonsense fr
I only recommend doing this to get the vehicle to someone who knows wtf their doing😂
that whole insert will be spinning around soon after this was completed
should helicoil it instead
eww
no just no
