If it's a diesel engine, you probably need new spark plugs. That sound might be your tires also. You need to get the air in them changed every 2,000 miles so it doesn't go bad. Don't forget to check your carburetor fluid too. You're welcome.

Diesels don't have spark plugs silly...they have glow plugs.

Just do what a guy would do. Remove it and throw it away. No noise,no worry. Or tape it up with duct tape,that fixes everything.

Had the same problem on my Honda. You can unplug it from inside the trunk wall or have it replaced. If you unplug it, the noise will stop n gas door will still close but not lock which won't affect anything.

it's supposed to be your gas cover lock so nobody can open it but something's going wrong with that so yes it locks your gas cover the one outside the car not the one you turn the cap to put gas in okay
Decimated sphincter valve (DSV). Should be replaced with a newer model with a tighter grip. Also, while you're at it, you might wanna lube and torque the cervical thrusting rod with a quick up and down motion... sometimes, they can become backed up if neglected. 👍🫵

Nice try, with the headlight fluid.. I'm with Lacy. I to can do those things plus welding, grinning and more.
It's obviously a broken Flux Capacitor, very common back in 1985 but rarely seen today on newer model cars.
Great Idea for a show. Men vs women mechanics to see who can diagnose and repair the quickest and most accurate. Lets do it. Lacy you up for the challenge?

The gas cap is missing and that “little piece” is the locking mechanism for the panel/door which covers that area…
Fuel door actuator needs to be replaced .

it's a gas cover ejector. when you hit it it ejects the cover to your gas cap so you can access your gas
