it's sad this is how our veterans are treated they get done with their service then are pushed back into society with no ways of coping with the adjustment to none combat living . they just end up homeless or drug addict kuz it's the only way to numb the problems they have . America needs to worry about its own people and stop helping everyone else and help its own !

Now imagine being a child of a soldier who went to Cambodia. The children were the fighters. They stole them from their families, made them kill their own families, made them watch their lives be destroyed, then taught them war. My daddy had guns. He was the best guy when he wasn't doing the low crawl in the middle field in the tall grass, as long as he didn't get his hands on you, as long as you stayed hid til it passed. PTSD is very real, and sometimes never is managed.

Sadly people don't always understand my papaw served in the air force and he had it he hit it good but you can still tell the slight flinch at fireworks or certain movies the main thing is cherish the time you have with them bc you are never promised tomorrow. much love to all who have served from my family to yours welcome home.

ptsd is one of the hardest mental health disorders to have. there's so much that goes with the ptsd, paranoia, anxiety, depression, flash back.
my dad would crawl around the floor with a knife in his mouth after the Vietnam war,my mom used to tell us be quiet dont wake him up he might kill us on accident.
I hope my brother's all right, PTSD compounded with being a veteran isn't easy.

PTSD is real. The poor guy, so glad he's treated with gentleness by the responders.
Cops see him as he is now and his mom sees her little boy
yes war is brutal. I had a friend she married an army boy 3 days before Iraq they were 18. I threw her wedding together in 4 days. he left a boy and came back a hard alcoholic, drug addict,they were sending little kids with bombs tied to there little bodies.. he had to shoot little babies running in the street. people road around with severed heads put on display on there cars. it was bad.
To view and be a part of the very worst thing man can do to one another. nothing about taking a life is as easy as a video game. the things these men and woman see and are present for is brutal , it's horrific and can't be erased. from the rest of their lives mind. ptsd in my opinion is a trigger caused by the scarring this causes in ones very soul some have no issue or it manifests in different ways. some will forever have the worst battle or the very worst day of their lives doomed to replay it over and over again. a soldier once told me when asked how do you prepare every day for over a year to fight and fight to live or survive in a battle situation? his simple reply, "I tell myself I'm going to die today, after that everything else is training till they kill you or you kill them."
this is so sad... I had older friends come back like this from the Vietnam War and most recently from Iraq, and they really struggled with ptsd. it's brutal, especially if you don't get the right help.
the mom kept saying he's a friend but the cops saying friendly thats more militaristic way to announce yourself when running into another squad say friendly friendly the cop was trying to appeal to that military mind set he's in so as to attempt to calm him
My dad is in the military for 21 years. He got the .9 different times throughout his 21 years and it’s just really bad to see him suffer for like how he does every time we go to a restaurant he has to sit for his back to a wall, it’s really bad the PTSD he has gottenfrom being in the military that long is not OK.
If only those responsible would take responsibility. After all it was theirs as well as our lives those brave men and women were protecting. They need to follow the same code as our veterans do. And that is "leave no man behind"!
