I'm willing to bet his 30 day vacation came with pay too. The police unions also bribe all of our politicians to make sure there will be nothing done to permanently reign in the cops who abuse their authority. It's just like every single other issue negatively affecting the citizens of our country, nothing will be done because of money in politics and legalized bribery. I think that the officers who stand there and not only watch their fellow officers abuse citizens, but then also back them up and lie for them if a complaint is made. I know of a police officer that had a last chance agreement, or something like that in place. One more screw up and he was out of there. He simply got a job in another jurisdiction. So it didn't matter anyways, a clean start in another department.
