My fat ass could swim that distance. That being said, it's more than the swim. The sharks, freezing cold water, and guards patrolling would be my biggest concern, but with time, it could be done.

sharks would get you if the cold doesn't. but you could have a friend out there in a boat on a foggy night. set the time and date right and they'll be there waiting when you make it a hundred yards out. seriously. so shark infested.
Well the reason the question is valid is bc this is why Alcatraz was closed down. Bc it was not escape proof or it could not be said the no one ever escaped from Alcatraz… it’s all about money 💰 money money follow the money 💰 they wanted to build another super max prison. Follow the money 💰

Yes I used to swim 8 acres with my two year old when I was young every day
My man swam with our daughter on his back and stomach not even half 1/4 of this range and wanted to pass out but didn’t because he had our baby on him he told me if it wasn’t for her he would have yelled for help! I believe if you really want to your body will swim, jump,run if you desperately want it too!❤️

A new documentary came out and now there saying they rode the current behind a boat while floating on a raft which makes it seem a bit more achievable
what i remember is they made a floaty. from there you just got to paddle like your trying to escape prison. that equals, no problem.
