They really think that just because they voted for him, they should get an exception. I had a fight on X about this exact thing — someone was moving from Texas to Florida for a new job, then she got an email rescinding the offer and he started freaking out. They tried reaching out on X and by email to anyone who would listen. Eventually, someone in the group responded and started giving him information. But when I pointed out how messed up it all was, they blocked me.
