Upon hearing the house is from his deceased wife's family, then it's only fair that it gets left to her daughter. The 2nd wife now knows this, and she should be prepared for it when it happens. It's not her house, regardless of the marriage. It's his house, and he will give it to his daughter. It is just like if her mom was still here.
they should move out of it anyway. She gets the one she's paid for.
