Hey, all it takes is a knock on the door and a face to face. Goes like, ‘hey we are going to Disneyland. Sister wants to park the car out front. Can you look out for it for a few?’ Boom! For all you young wippersnappers that forgot how to talk to your neighbors out there.
She could have easily knocked on the door to inform them before she went on her trip, just like she knocked on their door when she returned.
The tow truck company is responsible IF it truly was public parking. A tow away from legal parking spot can only be done by the legal owner of the car BUT other local laws can apply if the qualifications for abandonment apply. local/ state authorities are the only ones who can declare abandonment. If no laws governed this the tow companies would be rich towing every parked car they find.

this is boss level, this lady obviously has a formal education and isn't afraid to flex her authority,,,.... I think she did absolutely fantastic in this situation. It started to get a little high-pitched there at the end, things had potential to tip over the ledge. But instead of going there, she explained that she understood the laws and how it worked, she would serve her legal papers as she left, that's genius.

The tow company is at fault you can not just tow a car even if it is abandon.i believe if they don’t get the car 30 days from the day of the report then it’s abandoned.its a public street so it was allowed to be parked there.and you can’t claim spots on a public parking st.I believe that is called manopalizing.Wich makes it okay for people to park in any spot .that why it’s called public.and they should have ran the tags .and started sending out the letters To the owner and it would have been jf.
