A police sniper in Naning, China, successfully neutralized a hostage-taker by firing from between a colleague's legs. The suspect, 18-year-old Hang, had been holding a woman captive in a subway station. Negotiations failed, and the sniper, Captain How, took the shot, freeing the hostage unharmed. He was later awarded for his bravery. And the video says nothing abt it being in America one time it says “swat sniper” which is technically still accurate bc swat means special weapons and tactics and that’s not wrong unless u specify a swat officer from a specific city.

that's why if you're going to take hostages, you alter the firing mechanism in your gun so that it goes off when you release the trigger. you hold that gun to somebody's head close up, if somebody shoots you and you let go of that trigger, the hostages also dead.
