Perrine bridge north of Twin Falls, Idaho
I jumped out over the Susquehanna river a few years ago in 25+ mph winds (without an inflatable). I deployed my chute at 2500' and then spiraled down to about 1000'. From there, it took me a full 5 minutes in the uplifting, down channel wind before I hit the surface of the water. It was awesome! I just sat up there looking around, enjoying the moment. I finally came down more than 500' down stream of my planned target spot. Thankfully, some fine folks came by in their boat and picked me up. That is still one of my favorite skydives. 😛👍
