Makes sense this ride is called the Sky Screamer. I would have lost my freaking mind stuck up there. They thankfully only were stuck for 10 minutes but scary as hell at 250ft. Apparently the ride along with others stalled. Thankfully everyone got out safe. Stupidly they resumed running this ride like normal after the storm passed
that's why I quit amusement parks, not enough safety inspections or maintenance

Lightning surge on the power grid likely tripped circuit breakers.Safety protocols should require that all rides be stopped when lightning is detected within 10 miles. The time delay from flash to thunder rumble is roughly 5 seconds per mile, FYI.

That ride is scary enough without the storm! Last time I was on it the husband of a friend of mine, who thought it would be funny to scare me! His sense of humor was not appealing to me at all! He kept swinging into me pulling my chair so I was flying around with no direction and all the while swing in circles high off the ground! Never went on it again! I can’t imagine what they’re thinking and feeling? Not only worrying how they will get down, but also if they will get strict by lightning!
