Most just searching for a feel good. Too many think addiction will never happen to them, untill it does.
God bless you beautiful! I'm 8 yrs sober this Jan 11, I forget my sober yrs now... I'm also a 15 yr cancer patient/survivor. the pain was to much, the hurting was to much. cocaine and alcohol became my numbness for many yrs. I don't have issues with alcohol now. I never liked being drunk, but I enjoy the emotional rollercoaster of life now. I like me and I love me now. I went thru a separation during my sobriety yrs and didn't use while alone and feeling my life was falling apart. I didn't need anything but God! I am a faith based recovery coach, I've been in the trenches helping pull folks to the other side. remember one thing... the enemy is here to kill, steal and destroy, but our joy comes from the Lord! and the enemy can't touch that! keep up the good works, sweet pea. you and God got this!
