Stop when it stops or you’ll back it up and force it into your fuel vent. Afterwards you won’t be able to pump gas without setting off the sensor to the pump handle.

He's dumping fuel into his charcoal system/ EVAP system meant for capturing vapors. getting fuel in the system can cause performance issues.
