I don’t think he actually self deported. He probably went back to his country for his immigration appointment/interview and was approved. That interview and waiting for the entry packet takes about two weeks. Glad he made it back home!

Why is CITIZENSHIP ALLOWED TO BE OPTIONAL?? If people are coming here why aren't they becoming citizens. 80 % don't qualify for asylum and they are not coming here to become citizens. There is not a country on this planet who allows anyone to just walk in and live there because they want to!!! THE US IS NOT THE EXCEPTION!! If people want to live here then they must become citizens. Visas don't work. They don't go home when the visa expires. Visas should be temporary. Citizenship is the only thing that should allow them to stay. None of them have sponsors financially and physically supporting and being responsible for their needs so the sponsor BS doesn't work.
