Stingrays are harmless unless they whip those tails around. Otherwise, they're pretty soft to pet. The real problem lies when all the other animal life on this planet learns that the best thing we humans have to offer is massage. We'll soon be besieged by them, wanting all day bellyrubs, and chin tickles, and behind the ear pets, and head scritches. Eventually, we'll have to start charging.

Sooo beautiful!!! Stood amongst a school in the Gulf of Mexico w my oldest when we lived on Sanibel… saw them nearing n knew we wouldn’t get out quick enough so not to frighten her (she was 5- now 30) we held hands and I “made it such a beautiful and exciting” moment —- while they formed a BADASS pattern to exclude us from their swim travel. Memory burnt in my mind and in my heart🤲🏼🩵

Can’t say that’d be My reaction, but I’d feed it also. Only difference is, he couldn’t run, due to his size and age. So feeding it was his only true escape anyway.
They have a whole tank of Sting Rays that you can touch at Underwater World in the Mall of America. They are very soft Such a beautiful animal 💕
