I was a bus driver for years and always worked with all children equally. I worked with many drivers that didn't. That was so sad how they treated some students. Every child deserves their time.

School bus drivers really need to be appreciated more. The little ones are great, but many of the middle schoolers and high school kids bully, harass the driver on an almost daily basis including physical attacks. We don't get paid enough to deal with that, and all the while, trying to keep your eyes on the road to get them to and from their destinations safely. Parent(s) really need to step up and teach their children respect especially for older adults. You would not believe the stories if I told you.
That also gives the kid confidence too..

I drove a school bus for a few years and at the end of the year if those kids on the bus were good the last day of school I would treat them for ice cream with the permission of their principal. There’s nothing wrong with that.
