I like the Golden Girls episode where the women accidentally order extremely expensive wine or champagne ( ? ). after they already drink it they realize it, so Sophia pours salt into a glass of it, takes a sip spits it out and starts yelling, the waiter comes over and she tells him the wine or champagne is spoiled, he tastes it makes a face, apologizes and they don't have to pay for it...genius!

But, all good wines need to be stored properly. Red wines need to be stored at 55 degrees in a dark place laying down to keep the corks wet. White wines are more forgiving, but dark cool places are best. Red wines can be stored properly for many years, whereas white wines should be enjoyed within 2-5 years.
