I find it very sad.
Think of the storms it weathered, the people it saw, how we went to walking everywhere to horse to machines like the first cars, bicycles, and motorcycles. It had a picnic table under it it witnessed the happy times and the side times of peoples lives and it has come to the end of its life. How many will mourn it now that it is gone?馃

I don't think it was natural causes I think it was those damn carpenter ants you can see is the tree was falling it's all black in the center that tells me it had a big nest of carpenter ants in there and they Hollow it out kill it from the inside I've seen a lot of trees same thing

While there is not a video - I鈥檝e witnessed the end. A very old tree in the yard of the rented duplex, neighbor (in duplex) watched it fall towards the house, her side. Yikes!
Most people love having old trees around. They aren't crazy waiting for them to become "magestic" old trees!

You can tell the people that don鈥檛 know shit about how nature works, probably only live where there are sidewalks and streets. I鈥檝e seen this happen a few times kind of waiting on this one out in my backyard to do the same thing just a couple of branches that鈥檚 all not a whole tree.

Most if not all organic organisms on earth have a Finite lifetime. Some lifetimes are incredibly short and some incredibly long. If only this tree could tell us its story.
