the dog would probably calm the screaming child. then again, dogs create lots of calamity on airplanes. this one looks bothered by the screaming. go figure.
It drives me insane to hear kids screaming and really throwing tantrums in the store! Yes I have 3 kids and could tolerate screaming when I was younger. But 18 years later.... HELL NO!!!!
obviously it's the other way around . no matter what I still prefer having that annoyed dog sit beside than that child who's having an endless tantrum .
What is wrong with that kid, you need to drive next time. I would love to sit next to that dog that is being traumatized by the kid.

Poor dog is traumatized. My kids never acted that way even when they were babies. My dogs have always been just as good.
The baby’s ears could be hurting from the pressure changes. I was an adult and flew with a regular head cold. Just stuffy sinuses. I was crying, softly of course, but I hurt so badly! It felt like someone was sticking a metal rod through one ear and out of the other one! The flight attendant poured boiling hot water on two paper towels and put them inside of two paper cups and had me hold the cups behind my ears. She said the warmth would change the temperature around my ears and the pressure changes with the temperature! It worked!! I held those cups for quite some time, then all of the pain went away. It was truly something that I remembered and it was about 45-50 years ago! I thanked her profusely 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The child's ears may need to pop from the take off. My ears do that. It hurts me bad. Depending on his age you could give him a piece of gum. The chewing they say helps with that. Or take the dog over there and let him pet it. JMO

when a baby is like that on a flight, remember, they cannot yawn to fix the pressure in the inner ear like yoi can. that is probably whats wrong. if they sre not on the bottle than give them something to chew on that has a taste to make their mouth water so they will swallow.

That poor child is not having a tantrum. My guess is that the baby's ears are hurting. Perhaps sucking on a bottle or pacifier will help soothe the baby's ears. My ears closed on an airplane when I was a child. It was excruciating pain. That baby's cries are from pain not a tantrum. There is a difference.
