it should be mandatory that every skilled nursing facility in hospital that has patients that are not mobile have that bed that's one of the best things I've seen in the last 50 years

I hope that I never ever become so physically or mentally helpless that I need something like this.

I actually thought this up 20 years ago when I was a CNA. Very hard job,but it is a very rewarding one through and I don't mean the pay because it certainly don't pay enough for what they do,but you really come to love the people you take care of like family.

As an LPN in a long-term care facility, I absolutely love this! We are so far behind when it comes to technology, it's ridiculous. We should be spending less money on weapons of destruction and more money on things like this that help people who have paid taxes their whole life. I bet more people would want to work in a nursing home that had these types of beds. Less workmen's comp claims for strained backs, I'm sure.

I have worked as a Rehab nurse for many years and wish the beds in the US were this good. 🤔

Thats awesome, I can only imagine how someone in that position must feel, it will give them some sense of dignity again. I hope this will be mass-produced and be affordable for people. Amazing idea and is so needed, whoever invented this deserves an award, God Bless You.

I sleep in a terribly uncomfortable hospital bed and I really like the looks of what this can do. I don't have a need for the cutouts, fight now, but if I live long enough, who knows.😲👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A back saver and easier move etc of the patient.

The concept is great, but the mattress needs to be air or memory foam. Hospitals can afford these; they spend lots of money on beds to save skin. Now, NHs are a different animal; they make their money by discharging patients who have made good progress and are safe and healthy to return home. The goal is for the patient to stay home safely without falls or reinfection. This is where good health plays a big part in their payment!

Finally¡! if they would have figured this out sooner, I wouldn't be disabled from my six diseases in my spine! I'm not the only one!! Think of the millions of nurses around the world having to lift n clean patient's all day. I didn't stop until I woke up one morning and couldn't turn my head! I'm inoperable it's so bad in there, with complex damage. My spinal cord is being poked, pushed, and bent out of place constantly. plus, w the opiate crisis, Drs no longer prescribe narcotics for chronicles c pain sufferers! So, great job, engineers! and thank you for all the nurses of yesterday years!

As an RN we have electric beds but nothing like this. we still have cranks leftover that we put the more mobile patients in but it's a back breaker when u have to bend over at the end of the bed and do it. It's very inconvenient for the patients too that keep turning on their lights to be up or down. they get cranky if u don't get there soon enough. We didn't have aides or LVNS in critical care and your other patient might be down the hall. if ur lucky someone else would answer ur light. Hoag nurses have phones the patients can contact their nurses. They push their call bells and it comes through to the phones or the clerk at the desk would answer via intercom. if ur in a code u can't answer it. You would be surprised how many patients don't care about the code even if it's in the same room. I would wheel them out in their beds and put on a telemetry unit. a portable heart monitor

i had a bed similar to this in a hospital after having a stroke seizures a brain bleed ended up paralyzed on left half of my body. and blind in one eye. this was so helpful for nurses as I was dead weight and didn't always know when i had to use the bathroom

But hospital and nursing homes can’t and won’t invest in those types of beds. They cost $$$$ per unit.
