We went into a remodeling company store front that was having an open house. We were going to redo our kitchen. We pulled up in our condo car. A Honda Civic. Hubby and I in shorts, tee shirts, and flip flops. We started looking at the display’s and talking possible options. A salesman, big guy, acting cocky came up and started talking about brand names, and budgets. At one point he says, “you can’t afford our quality” and says we need to leave and we’re wasting his time. About then a friend comes and starts talking to us. Shes the mayor of our city and we talk about our plans. This salesman suddenly recognizes her and says “don’t waste your time talking to these people. They come in looking like that, and drive a Honda Civic”! Totally rude. She looks at him and says, laughing, I can assure you that you just blew the biggest sale of your life! We laughed, told him our kitchen budget was $150K and walked out to him sputtering. Maybe he learned a lesson. Will never know🤔🤷‍♀️
