I'm 44 and I wasn't friends with my dad till I was 25 & I am grateful for that but as child I was friends with my mom till around 16 then she couldn't control me because at that age every child starts rebelling against authority whether they are friends or not. The saddest part of all of that is it took 25 years to develop a friendship with my mother that I now have with my dad All because she tried to be my friend when I desperately needed a parent. All those years lost because parents get offended differently from their children then their friends!

Yes indeed and I appreciate each and every one I got. Taught me how to be a responsible individual. Today's generation doesn't care and some are a menace. I raised my son the same way I was raised. He's graduating in 2 months and getting ready to go off to college in the fall. I'm super proud of him. I Thank God Everyday.
