This umpire is a little boy in a grown up position! As a former Umpire, I can honestly say, you need thick skin and a strong Constitution. You are there to officiate the game, not be part of it. In my experience Coaches, players and fans as a general rule let their emotions get the better of them. You have to be the calming factor, not the grenade in the situation. Going to the mound during a team meeting and doing anything but tell them time is up, is overstepping your authority!
