there's a reason the factory didn't put a drain plug on it.. they don't want it catching on a rock and getting ripped off.. then no oil..
The rubber on the pin on the valve stem will swell, soften and disintegrate because it is not a blend of rubber impermeable to oil, gasoline, solvents.
Why not just use the oil drain plug?

I just had a stroke
making it way too easy to snag that on ANYTHING and have to walk out several miles because you got no oil... why not just thread that hole and put a plug in it.. that way the cover will split BEFORE you get the thing on the trailer and into the woods...
It's too easy for me to lose the valve core cuz I'm basically a clutz. 馃槅馃槅馃槅
