Well you know why they say “stupid is what stupid does”
its military. a large cantonment usually starts out as being a bunch of tents and evolves over time... foyers get added to help keep the tents heated/cooled, or keep dust or bugs out, and they're temporary so they're not really built well, the doors are usually just a sheet of plywood, and you see this setup used in that context all the time. if you've been deployed to a temporary cantonment, you've seen this :)
