When I was living with my ex I was pregnant and sleeping. At the time his sister and her son was staying with us as well. I woke up to smoke coming from underneath my bed I jumped out of bed and my bed was on fire. Her son was playing with a lighter burning the bottom of my mattress. I woke her up and told her my bed is on fire. It took her a minimum to realize what I was saying but she finally grabbed the extinguisher (I had completely forgot about) and put the fire out my entire bedroom was filled with powder and floor ruined. She felt terrible but at least we were all safe. Most kids are curious by nature that's why you have to teach them why they shouldn't do some things bc just bc you say no don't mean they won't. They don't realize it is for their safety
