Those people that work in those facilities don’t care about people they are abusive. But what they don’t realize they will reap it back one day in some way.
Placing a family member in a nursing home is a difficult decision and should always be discussed among family. Nursing homes should never be treated as dumping grounds, but as places that feel like home while meeting medical needs. Some facilities fall short, while others are truly accommodating and nurturing environments for our older adults. My heart breaks knowing you feel your loved one is being neglected. If there is no Power of Attorney in place for your mother, you may still have an opportunity to fight to have her removed. Blessings to you and your mother.

Please nursing homes aren’t the worst, I see elders coming from home, dirty, matted hair, bed sore, finger nails and toe nails like claws! Some men beard and haven’t been cut months maybe a year! Please have see amazing transformation happen in Nursing Homes a sister reported her brother missing but he was sitting in the dining room have lunch🤷♀️! He came to us so unkept, we cut his hair gave him a clean shaving, the nurses/aides cleaned his guts out (impacted with fecal matter “shit” it took days ). Please don’t give nursing homes a bad name! We the care gives really care about our residents they all become our grandparents
My mother lives with me ... she will be 80 yrs old Feb 25 ... I will always look after her until ...take care of my father until his passing it a huge sacrifice, but if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here. Honor thy mother and father 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
My grandmother had 9 kids and they had her live alone with Alzheimer’s and put her in a nursing home too and she took care of all except my mother and she didn’t care for my moms’ kids but when she got sick all the other kids wanted US to care for her( I did the best I could for her) kids sometimes will not care when we’re older I’m just praying mine will🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Omg I know how you feel. I had six living siblings but when my parents couldn’t take care of themselves none of them wanted the responsibility of caring for them but I stepped up and cared for them until they left this earth. Now those same siblings are angry with me because they feel guilty for not stepping up. God got me so I’m good.😊
Jesus take the wheel....never felt easy about them....I don't care about nobody's nursing home.....My mother is 91 .....going on 92 this year and she lives with me... every since I was little I promised to never put her there regardless of what or how I live.....Been blessed....worked hard in my twenties,; Degree in Criminal justice......now I have her back just as she had mine when I was born.....I wouldn't change it for nothing in the world.....Parents were and are my rock.....

Keep trying to get her out. Ask for guidance from GOD so it will be done the right way. Ask GOD to protect her from harm to keep her safe from all hurt and harm.Those who will bring her harm will be punished 👍👍
I had to put my home in a nursing home home after my sibling’s got all the money they could after they couldn’t see about her being combative and dementia I found a good nursing home the people was good I took part in her care while working 3 jobs I came every day and on weekends she got a pass it’s been 10 years 2/13 laid her to rest I miss my girly

I placed my dad is an assisted living facility. I went often to be with him. One day I overheard a staff member talking very ugly to a tenant. Obviously she said something to the overseer and they wanted me to start calling 2 hrs before I was to arrive. I of course ignored that, showed up anyway as usual, and removed him after the yr was up. he is here with me still that was about 3 yrs ago. If you place your love ones and dont go check on them, they will get abused. I hear the staff has changed including management. My dad didnt get a chance to be abused, they saw me a lot.
I worked in a few nursing homes and it was ajob, let me tell yall. However I always tell people that if you're doing this kind of work for paycheck then this isn't the job for you. You face and deal with all kinds of people and all kinds of family as well. You most love what you do with kind of work. I'm 55 and have been doing this since my Junior year of High School.
My Beautiful Angel 🌹 in Heaven, my mother, She raised 12 beautiful children,s We all grown, I been a Care provider for 33 years and I,m a single mom of my only beautiful daughter with Special needs, I took care of my Beautiful mother for 13 years, she told me never put her in a nursing home, God forgive me, I told her that it would be a cold ❄️ day in Hell before that happen, She was the most beautiful, lovely 🌹 hard worker , giving, and so funny, She told me that she was ready to go home, Heaven, 2010 It's was the hardest thing I ever had to do, Was say see you again, I miss her, everyday, she was 76 when, God call her home, Young lady take care of your beautiful mother and we all sending prayers that she get justice, for what, Evil,s did to her God bless you both, Amen 🙏 Believe 🙏🌹🌹
I worked in a nursing home early on in my career and have witnessed abuse of some sort. It’s very true how they treat the residents when the think they are alone and vulnerable.
This how I felt about my mother but my sister wouldn’t listen I feel your pain every time I go there she always ask to come home with me, Went to see her one day she had a blackeye and they said she hit the dresser but her bed wasn’t close to the dresser and she couldn’t get out of bed unless you take her out, It’s so sad I miss her everywhere today make 16 years since we lost her
I don’t care what my parents is not suffering in no nursing home if I have to sleep in a chair next to there bed
You cannot dump family in a nursing facility and don’t visit, those are the patients that are abused and neglected. If you must put them in a home, share visiting with other family members. Everyone takes a day of the week to visit. My mom has 7 kids, if she needs to go, one of us will be there every day.💞
man and if adult protective services gets involved u have no control. They sent my dad to a facility that the employees having sex with the elderly women.
When you go up to the door of a nursing home and open and it smells like 10 out houses before you step inside you know that abuse is taking place inside. When you see doctors in nurses walking about as everything is no, you know that no one cares about the abuse that they see. They only care about money..

I worked in a nursing home and it's true they do have people that don't care for the elderly. But I made sure to clean out those people. Now we have people that care for the elderly. I have so many grandmothers and grandfathers it's amazes me. They love me. But sad to say with this work comes back breaking pains so I had to leave the nursing home, but be assured that I visit often to make sure they are being taken care of. Some of the elderly left me everything in their wills. But as soon as the elderly pass on here comes the family with their hands out. But never came to see their parents not once. Mad me sick of how many times I've called them. People please treat the elderly better.

It’s a disgrace when we put all that knowledge and history inside of a nursing home. We never put our elderly in those places. They have a chance to see, hold and take pictures with their future generations. We discussed what day or dates everyone gets to take care of/ spend time with our elders/ historians. It is a shared responsibility. My dad will be 81 this year, the youngest in our family is less than one month. My dad got to go shopping for his Great great grand daughter. All because family support and love keeps him going. There’s currently 5 generations in our family. With continuous support, he may see the 6th from his own home that he still lives in.
Some of the meanest people work in Nursing homes....its so sad. Not one person in a nursing home wants to be there....its sad.

It's no disgrace to placed a family member into a nursing facility. U must be present at least 4 days a week. SHOW UP! Checked on your love ones . The staff will be afraid to abused to your love one bc they won't know what day u r going to pop in. Please stay longer than 15 minutes.
My dad was in PROVIDENCE IN YEADON PA. THE WORSE AND THE DIRECTOR WAS ALL IN FOR THE WORKERS AND I JUST ROLLED MY DAD OUT, SO YOU CAN DEFINITELY ROLL HER RIGHT OUT OF THERE & DON'T WAIT ON FAMILY, I WAS ON MY OWN WITHOUT FAMILY AS WELL🙏
I just want to hug this lady so much. When I did my Externship becoming a Medical Asst. I Completed my in a Well known Living Facility for the Elderly. I took care of them, showed love, got them to eat their healthy foods, sing to them, read the Holy Bible and other Novels to them. Watched TV with them in Day Room and had them dancing or in their Wheelchairs moving heads and clapping theur hands. It was hard for me to leave them when I completed my Assignment. Some of them cried and I cried. The Staff said I was the only one who brought out the fun and happiness from the Residents. I washed heads of hair and styled their hair etc. The Manager/Supervisors said I spoiled the Residents 😆😆😆😆

Thank you God!!!! You allow me to be able to take care of my two parents, even though they were separated. My mom let my dad come back he had Alzheimer and she later on had a stroke. It had it's moments, I did a lot of crying it was hard, but God help me get through it. They were well taken care of at home and no abuse. Family and awesome friends helped me. Giving God all the Glory! They left this world in a way, I would want to leave here.
