As a Army Veteran, I must say that the AH-64 Apache is the better attack helicopter because it is more survivable in modern high-intensity combat, while the Ka-52 has strong points in survivability features, but it also has a higher overall battlefield risk due to doctrine, sensors, and employment. The Ukraine conflict has exposed these weaknesses due to MANPAD kills in that war. Survivability is not about armor, or ejection seats it’s about avoiding exposure and the Apache definitely does that better.
I would take the apache all day long
I never understood why they named a killing machine after a group of people that got annihilated by a bunch of farmers and cowboys and drunk calvary men.
That was my assessment, near verbatim.
The Russians know how to build a rotary or a fixed wing aircraft. They’re built like tanks instead of temperamental Swiss watches
