Why did they handcuff her?
First it was her friend lady's truck then my son
she should have never opened the door or stepped out
It doesn’t matter how good or bad of parenting skills you have. I grew up in a bad childhood and out of that trauma we all suffered my siblings were in and out of jail most of their life and I wasn’t. I never turned towards in alcohol or manipulate system, or live off of other people. In spite of my father‘s delusional sick life, he brought to us children. I still respected him and my mother, though she was naïve, but I also had or shall I say I was forced to know who God was and it was God kept me from falling into the system and rising up to become a good productive citizen and a great nurse. I’m tired of hearing people say it was the way they were raised. No, it’s the mindset of the individual who had one door trauma, or may not have endured at all. It’s what they choose. This is my opinion Peace to all of you.
Front doors usually swing open into the house and I agree she might have lied, but you had a warrant for Adam not her, she should have never stepped foot outside.

First she lied about who the truck belonged to, Then instead of her listening to what the officer had to say, she’s making excuses for her son. We All Love Our Children,However, it is when you attempt to Lie and Protect them when they’ve done something against the law, you place yourself in whatever mess they’re involved in. So Now, she’s been arrested for having a truck in her drive way that’s been involved in a burglary. The officer was polite some would have been very nasty to her especially because she lied about who the truck belongs to !
But cops kids grow up and get into all kinds of trouble as well also on drugs . And when they tell people that they’ve raised their kids right now one will believe them. Judges also

I’ve been in a situation where the cops came to my door I kept my screen locked bc they insisted they got a phone call from my address I requested the supervisor and when he came he apologized and they left! All saw all my neighbors watching from inside their doors never step outside unless they have a warrant for u!!

part 1. I am a black woman who has experienced something similar. My son's old school vehicle that he purchased to restore was on my driveway. The police came to my home approximately midnight knocked on my windows all around my house ( including back yard, behind a private gate). I had no idea who it was because I was asleep, they never announced who they were. I got both of my pow pow and carried one to my front window to look out they had unscrew the light bulb on my porch so I could not see who it was. I sat quietly w/o lights waiting for them to enter. I called 911 she informed me it was the police. when I opened the door they asked for my son.

She’s done nothing to warrant arresting her. They are just having a conversation about her son. She was totally cooperative when he asked her to step outside and he cuffed her. He is the one being rude. She’s probably covering for her son, but unless and until they find Adam in that house, they are not supposed to arrest her. Any criminal lawyer will tell you that. If she was belligerent or resisting being cuffed, that would be different.

part 2 I told them he did not live here. They commented about he car on my driveway. I informed them it had been on my driveway two years. It was a warrant the DA filed for DUI. But yes they do black people like this often. But I did NOT unlock my storm door.
