I'm in recovery, work in harm reduction & behavioral health, & a criminal justice student & I'd LOVE to see how this aged. If you 'choose' addiction, then you don't have the gene, baby. True addiction is never chosen. He's choosing to form a dependency. That's not the same as addiction. BUT meth has the lowest recovery rate of all bc the first 2 yrs of recovery are brutally depressing bc the brain isn't producing dopamine.
