it looks like when you go into Old School bed and breakfasts you'll see that when they give you your key they'll tell you towels and wash clothes or hanging outside of the rooms they had something similar to that right there that had three towels and three washcloths on top of each other with that top plate coming down the only way to release it was to put the door key in and it would allow it to lift up so you could slide out but that I like everyone else's eyes he is too about being a bookcase
