Not a rope: it is a static line.

Can you imagine parachuting into a fuckin battle zone where you're just floating to the earth while the enemy can just pick you off like slow motion clay pigeons?? I remember my Pap telling me they wouldn't shoot at paratroopers during WW2 and the Korean and Vietnam wars because it made you feel like a coward. Had to give them a fighting chance... I even remember seeing different documentaries on other soldiers saying the same thing. it was an unwritten rule that you didn't shoot at them until they landed! Shit tho, I'd still be scared shitless just floating to earth like a ducks lost ass feather πŸͺΆπŸͺΆ

"special forces" jump using whatever the situation calls for! HAHO,(high altitude high opening), HALO (high altitude low opening) and static lines which uses a cable ( ropeπŸ˜†) . I used all three and static lines hurts the worst IMHOπŸ€”
