Actually this isn’t funny. They’ve discovered that when dogs nails are cut with canine clippers it’s actually fracturing the nails themselves which hurts like heck for the dog or cat. Veterinarians now recommend using a tool that is quiet and files the nail down and doesn’t fracture their remaining nails in the process. I know this was meant to be funny but honestly once you learn about the actual pain that it causes your pet you will not want to do that to your fur baby anymore. Beautiful husky but he’s doing that because of the pain he is feeling in the reminder of his nail.
This dog is a great actor ! Well trained to do this! Husband nail isn't even being clipped ,but it's great the way he howls at the sound of the clippers

Huskies are as melodramatic as you can get in a dog! Our girl Frosty, would talk back if you told her to stop digging, stop making a mess, her mouth ran not stop and so did our joy and laughter and love of her being a member of our family. We lost her when she was 16 years old and we were so heartbroken when she crossed over the Rainbow bridge!. She was an escape artist too, and when she got out we always drove around looking for her, one of the policemen was a friend and when he was patrolling, her would look out for he, all had to do was blow his whistle and open the back door of his car and she would run and jump ride in for her ride home. I’m sure anyone he picked up after dropping her at home, had a million dog hairs all over them, for a nice incentive to not get picked up by the police😆

I hate doing their nails. Sends my blood pressure up, I'm a reck. I've helped a friend pick up their dogs from groomers and their babies are bleeding from their nails. So I'm afraid to take them to the groomers too. So I very carefully try to do them. I've made a mistake a couple times but I try very hard to be safe with them. They're my babies. My fur boy fur baby has a spazz when I trim his hair. My little girl just lays there and gets it done. He goes nuts when he gets a bath. Drama queen I tell you about everything. But he's out protector. Go figure.
She also snipped a small amount of hair, not his nail. Huskies are like some people on here....... too dramatic! 😂

This is not funny ! A vet took x-rays showing it causes tiny fractures in their nails and paws. Try a quiet grinder instead. My labador is proof it works. A couple of claws at first to get used to it. The next day , all the claws in 10 min.💕

I have been cutting my dogs nails for 17 years. The key is to always cut below where the nail is red or pink colored bc that’s blood, which is the quick of the nail. The longer the nails get, the quick grows out with it as well. If your dog has white nails it’s easy to see; however, some dogs nails are black so it’s much more difficult. Some of my dogs nails are black so I judge by the length I cut the ones where I can see the quick.

read the same thing. it's painful for the dog getting nails cut. some vets now use the file trimmers that grind them down without the snap of the nail cut.
I just read that it hurts them so much when the nails are cut. you should use the electric nail trimmer to file them down. not sure if it was true but this seems to prove it

.y friend/chiropractor was recovering from surgery. She felt up to helping me but not going into the office yet. There was a popping sound and her husky starting carrying on like she had been hurt. Before the next adjustment for me she put him in a far room so hear couldn't hear any sounds. He still heard a pop and started howling like she hurt him. He was so loud her neighbor called to make sure he wasn't injured.
