I’m stuck in a wheelchair right now and am amazed at the lack a disability options there are…For example: Disability parking with a ramp BUT when you get to the door- there’s NO disability options to open those heavy establishment doors!!! What in the world!

That was a little scary for me to watch at first but when she made it I was so surprised that rolling the chair at the edge and holding on turned into a great idea! Now, that this has been seen the people that make escalators a lot more safer so people with disabilities and need to go up or down on an escalator are able to do it without taking a chance like this woman did. ❤️😧🫣🙂👏👏

I'm sorry, but going down backwards on an escalator in a wheelchair not exactly a smart thing to do!

the problem isn't that she went down the escalator in her wheelchair. the problem is that she had no access to going downstairs in her wheelchair. its unacceptable how creating accessible spaces seems to be foreign still today. it blows my mind. i love that she made it work ! welcome to her world!!!...because she lives in a world where most people don't even consider anyone who doesn't walk on their own two legs. as a grandmother of a child in a wheelchair...we have to adapt and get creative every single day and in just about every way imaginable .

That is awesome. I’m so proud of you but you should be wearing gloves because there’s so much shit on those handrails.

Why didn't she just ask an employee to assist her? There were nice 🙂 customers who wouldn't mind holding her chair. There's a locking mechanism for 🛒 carts to go up and down guess it works the same on wheel chairs. If she faced forward she'd fall out. Prayers she's walking again soon.

Not only very unsafe, but only so few possess the physical strength in arms and hands to do this trick. It should not be encouraged or promoted.🤔

very scary and an elevator should always be near the escalator. what about baby strollers? what about someone trying to juggle 2 suitcases? we should always have an option

take the elevator. All the stores I have ever been in have elevators besides escalators and stationary stairs. This is causing dangers for other customers who are using the escalator at the same time. There's always a sign No Strollers allowed on escalators. This woman if after multiple store security warnings could be ban from the store. And should be. 🤔
