And they aren't. If someone tries to run you over (especially if they actually hit you when you were trying to jump out of the way), that can be met with deadly force. If someone impedes, assaults, resists arrest, then reaches toward their waist, justified all day.

As he should do. Any law enforcement officer whether local, state, or federal should not be allowed to use excessive force. Also at times civilians resist arrest and have to be forcefully taken into custody. This may appear to some to be excessive force when it’s not. If you think you are witnessing the use of excessive force the best thing you can do is record it and have someone call 911. If the officer happens to ask for your help, please help them. Otherwise do NOT interfere!!
