I want to know. What moron put a smoke detector so high up that no normal person will have a 32' extension ladder. To reach it. There is no requirement to place them that high up.

Very few elderly people have, or can lift a ‘24 ft ladder let alone climb to the top.

yes its one of the many things they do. besides medical calls and fires. they provide all kinds of help when needed. they helped me with the ladder to change a bulb in my high ceiling in my barn. Great guys and they were hilarious
why do they put things way the heck up there?? lights, smoke detectors, I'd be nervous to climb up there too.

Wow since heat rises, I want to know how much it cost to heat this house. I mean it's not like you're entertaining up there. You'll either die from smoke inhalation or burn to death before the smoke detector goes off. Unless you have a massive flashover. I think. If I'm wrong tell me. I want to learn.

Most fire dept do this for safety reasons.
I'm sure this home is either one of their's or a family members. I highly doubt anyone is going to call for help with a light bulb and they send them out.
