Maybe it was because she was black but the judges wanted her to wear stockings when she skated but she refused to , so she defied them and skated bare legged. I marveled at her jumps, she could out jump and rotate more than any of the other girls beautifully. Skaters had to do compulsory figures where they skated over and over their figures on the ice which counted as part of their score also artistic had to be scored. Sury was very rough on those points. Her fingers weren't pointed and changing positions weren't smooth. In today's world she would of won hands down by doing extra jumps doubling the points she needed for that Gold
always trying to steal from Us, because Old lying ytnee can't do it
